The Open Education Research Group is supported by a group at Bringham Young University conducts research to measure the impact of OER use. The Open Education Group site’s tagline is, “socially responsive research that concretely improves society.”

The site also shares stories about how OERs are used in the “real world.” The scenarios are great starting points for faculty to think of ways to integrate OERs into their courses, going beyond providing a catalog of OER materials.

Ideas are presented through this site as concrete examples of how OER-enabled pedagogy can be implemented in real-world instructional scenarios.

The OER Adoption Impact Calculator is another great resource available through this site to calculate how much an individual course, program, or institution might potentially save by adopting OER.
