Digital literacy/fluency is very important in today’s society. Someone who is digitally literate is able to effectively find, use, and evaluate information. Being digitally literate means having the skills to be able to leverage new technologies to communicate and express ideas to create new knowledge. Being ‘digitally fluent’ goes beyond ‘digital literacy.’ Fluency provides a bridge between basic skills and comprehension and includes the ability to not only select the right technology but also to know what to do with the tools and to be able to adapt when technology inevitably changes.

- What suggestions have you learned to counter or avoid these risks?
- What is the importance of protecting and maintaining your Digital Identity?
- How might Creative Commons be useful to you, either personally or professionally?
- Self-reflection questions such as these can also help to guide your reflection.
